Emperor Aurangzebs's black beans with with cottage cheese bread
Mughal feasts #6 on 4 March 2012

For the Mughal feast #6 I cooked 2 recipes on Sunday afternoon on the 4th March 2012 for Emperor Aurangzeb from Aurangzeb's section in the S. Husain "Emperor's Table". The two recipes were
1. Rich Creamy Black Gram or "Dal Alamgiri" and
2. Cottage Cheese Bread or "Naan-e-Paneer"

Hard? in the time of Covid

When will it be over? This pandemic or time of Covid is hard - changing routines, meetings, work, places to go, people to meet - all a little or a lot different. Haven't seen my Charlottesville families for almost 2 years (except for the 3 holidays) - feel isolated.       Luckily being with Deej helps - daily walks and 15 minute meditation, food, shopping.  Deej has been making supper almost every night - because of her Crohn's disease, we have changed to foods which she can eat. She's taken up and added serious daily exercises.     Online is nice in some ways - being able to do work from home is nice - though I had a work computer crash once already and the laptop has not fully recovered. And it's hard not to be face to face with other workers, especially liaisons. Zoom is nice, but also not the same - connections are not close, not complete, cold. Kara helped send infected Kerchof Hall library books to her freezer and they are just now (mid-Feb 2022) okay to send
